Nestled between 5th and 6th Avenue, this Chelsea loft was reimagined for a young family of five and their live-in au pair as their children grew. The goal was to create a more sophisticated version of the existing space using durable materials and thoughtful custom details suited to family life. Custom white oak millwork transformed the living room and children’s bedrooms, incorporating storage, seating, beds, and workspaces without sacrificing the loft’s open feel. Natural materials, vintage pieces, handmade accessories, and layered textures bring warmth and personality throughout the home. The result is a mature, comfortable space that evolved alongside the family while maintaining the character of the original loft.
