An unused space above our garage was transformed into a compact studio apartment designed to serve as both a guest retreat and a short-term rental. The space was reconfigured to include a kitchenette and bathroom, making the small footprint feel both functional and inviting. A deep green wall color creates a moody, intimate atmosphere throughout, while the bathroom adds a playful moment with a Viola marble sink and classic black-and-white checkerboard floor. A mix of vintage and new furnishings, along with pieces from local makers, brings character and warmth to the space. The result is a small but memorable retreat that makes the most of every square foot.
